Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Becomes Fastest Mid-Size SUV to Cross 3 Lakh Sales Milestone
New Delhi, June 6, 2025 — Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has announced a major sales milestone for its flagship mid-size SUV, the Grand Vitara, which has surpassed 3 lakh units sold in just 32 months — the fastest in its segment, according to the company.
The achievement reinforces the Grand Vitara's strong market presence and growing popularity among urban, tech-savvy Indian consumers. Its success has been largely driven by the strong hybrid variants, which recorded a robust 43% year-on-year growth in FY24-25.
To commemorate the milestone, Maruti Suzuki has launched a new television campaign titled 'Driven by Tech', which highlights the SUV's appeal as a technology-forward vehicle. The campaign features a narrative of two friends — a tech entrepreneur and a fearless businesswoman — navigating diverse terrains, from city streets to rugged landscapes, showcasing the versatility of the Grand Vitara's strong hybrid and ALLGRIP SELECT 4×4 capabilities.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, expressed gratitude to customers, stating, *'We thank our 3 lakh strong Grand Vitara family for their trust. The 2025 Grand Vitara update also brings new options, including panoramic sunroofs across additional Zeta and Alpha variants. Notable features include a 9-inch Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, ventilated seats, wireless charging, Clarion® premium sound system, and a 360° view camera.
Safety remains a priority, with all variants equipped with six airbags, ESP with Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, front and rear disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers.
