‘True gem in this world' – Heartbreaking tributes for ‘extremely kind' Irish nurse, 24, who died on holiday in Australia
HEARTBREAKING tributes have poured in for an "extremely kind" young Irish nurse who died while on holiday in Australia.

A notice online told how the beloved young woman will "dearly missed" by her mother Mary, father Andrew, sisters Frances Grace and Heather and her "beloved partner" Paraic.
It added that Marie Claire will be mourned by her sisters partners Ger and Aidan, her best friend and cousin Roisin, he aunts, uncles, cousins and "many friends at home and abroad.
A fundraiser has been launched to support with travel costs for Marie Claire's family and boyfriend as they accompany the tragic young woman on her final journey home to Ireland.

Tributes have poured in for the nurse, who was working in the Drogheda Department of Psychiatry at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital.
One mourner said: "Marie Claire showed the utmost care and compassion as a nurse — a truly beautiful soul whose presence will be sorely missed.
"My thoughts and prayers are with all those who are grieving her loss."
A coworker added: "An absolute pleasure to have worked alongside - she was extremely kind and always made time for everybody. She will be sorely missed, rest peacefully."

A third person said: "Marie Claire was one-of-a-kind, a true gem in this world. Such an amazing role model to those around her.
"She was an exceptional nurse and had time for everyone. I will miss the laughs, fun and chats.

CLUB HEARTBREAK
One pal remembered Marie Claire as a "talented footballer".
The young woman, who dad is a prominent ladies football referee in Louth, played Gaelic with her local Naomh Fionnbarra club.
The club, which held an evening in remembrance of Marie Claire yesterday evening, confirmed that all club activities will be suspended until 12pm today as a mark of respect.
A statement added: "Marie Claire's passing has brought a wave of sorrow and grief across the community.
"Offers and messages of support have been pouring in and are greatly appreciated."
