Jim Sarbh, Amit Sadh's 'Pune Highway' Release Postponed Due To 'Unforeseen Circumstances'

Jim Sarbh and Amit Sadh's film, Pune Highway, initially set for release on May 16, has been postponed by a week.
Actors Jim Sarbh and Amit Sadh's upcoming film, Pune Highway, has been postponed. The film, which was slated for release this week, has now been delayed by seven days. The makers issued an official statement about the postponement.
Pune Highway, which was headed for release on May 16, will now make its way into cinemas on May 23. The change in release date comes in light of ongoing industry reshuffles after Operation Sindoor—a counter-terror mission by the Indian armed forces in retaliation to the Pahalgam attack, which has had a ripple effect on multiple entertainment projects.
In a statement, makers shared, 'Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to shift the release of our film Pune Highway from May 16 to May 23. We look forward to seeing you at the cinemas."
Pune Highway brings a gripping mystery to the screen, adapted from the acclaimed stage play of the same name. The film is co-directed by Bugs Bhargava Krishna and Rahul daCunha. It is backed by Drop D Films and Ten Years Younger Productions.
It features powerful performances by Amit Sadh and Jim Sarbh, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Anuvab Pal, Manjari Fadnnis, Ketki Narayan, Sudeep Modak, Abhishek Krishnan, Swapnil Ajgaonkar, and Shishir Sharma.
The recently released trailer teases a taut thriller that unfolds after the shocking discovery of a corpse that disrupts the lives of three childhood friends, plunging them into a series of uncertainty and danger. 'A gang of friends have their lives messed up by the discovery of a dead body in a remote lake, 300 kms away from the city. It is the twisted story of PUNE HIGHWAY from the makers of Barot House And Nail Polish," wrote Sadh, while sharing the trailer. Watch it here:

While Pune Highway has yet to release in theatres, it already made waves at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) last year.
