Dubai Future Academy launches courses on foresight, AI, and leadership
3 June 2025 14:23 DUBAI (ALETIHAD)Dubai Future Academy, the capacity-building arm of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has launched eight new training programmes for 2025 aimed at equipping leaders, professionals, and future-focused individuals across all sectors with the critical skills of foresight, artificial intelligence, and courses are scheduled to run throughout the year, and they are aligned with DFF's efforts in preparing future leaders to shape a more resilient, future-ready society, and empower talent with the skills needed to thrive in a fast-changing on the occasion, Abdulaziz AlJaziri, Deputy CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, said: 'These programmes reflect Dubai's long-standing commitment to equipping individuals and institutions with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate disruption, embrace innovation, and design the future. The Dubai Press Club (DPC) hosted a workshop titled 'Generative AI and its Applications in Media', providing media professionals and content creators with an in-depth understanding of the latest AI-powered tools transforming digital storytelling and media production. 'The session addressed the potential limitations of AI, highlighting the importance of responsible use to maximise efficiency and avoid common pitfalls,' Dr. Qasem said. 'The workshop gave media professionals with a deeper understanding of how to use advanced AI tools to elevate their creativity and produce compelling content that meets evolving industry standards and audience expectations,' he added. Designed to keep media professionals at the forefront of technological advancements, these initiatives focus on equipping media professionals with advanced digital skills, including AI, to produce high-quality, innovative content that meets global benchmarks. According to a recent report, the UAE is strengthening its position as a global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by implementing comprehensive strategies that foster innovation, investment, and supportive legislation. With its advanced infrastructure, adaptive regulatory frameworks, and policies that promote technological advancement, the country continues to attract top AI talent and emerging startups. While the UAE's vision for AI extends beyond economic gains, the technology is expected to significantly impact the economy. The country is projected to rank third globally, after China and the US, in AI's contribution to the economy. A report by PwC estimates that AI will contribute approximately 13.6% to the UAE's GDP, amounting to around $100 billion by 2030. Additionally, AI's contribution to regional economies is expected to grow between 20% and 34%, with the UAE leading due to its strong commitment to AI development and implementation.
