a 14-year-old grey stallion, captured the hearts of the crowd and clinched the coveted title in the Senior Stallions Championship at the 2025 Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC), Bred by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Majid Al Qasimi and owned by the Al Saqran Arabian Horse Stud, Harir's majestic presence and refined elegance stood out in this premier event, which is considered one of the most prestigious showcases for purebred Arabian horses. Held annually in Dubai, the DIAHC has become a global gathering that highlights the exceptional qualities of Arabian horses, a breed renowned for its beauty, stamina, and deep historical significance. Since its inception in 2004, the event has celebrated the unparalleled grace and legacy of these horses, while also embracing the modernity of Dubai—a city synonymous with luxury and tradition. The 22nd edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC), one of the most prestigious competitions in the world showcasing the unparalleled elegance and grace of purebred Arabian horses, concluded at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The three-day championship was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. DIAHC took place at the Zabeel Halls 7 and 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and witnessed fierce competition across various categories, showcasing the finest Arabian horses from renowned studs and breeders. With a staggering prize pool of $4 million, the championship attracted horses from eight nations. Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, gave prizes to the winners in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Finance Department; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club; Ziad Khaldari, Head of the Supreme Organizing Committee; Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri, Secretary-General of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation; Engineer Mohammed Al Tawhidi, Director General of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud; Adel Afalasi, DIAHC Executive Manager; and other dignitaries. Dubai Arabian Horse Stud's D Neeran took top spot in the Yearling Fillies Championship, earning a remarkable 40 points. Her flawless performance left the judges in awe, securing her the gold medal. Ajeebah Al Bidayer, with her exceptional poise, earned the silver medal, while SQ Ghandoura took home the bronze. The Junior Fillies Championship was equally captivating, and Vivia SB, a filly owned by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, finished on top. Second place went to Nayla Hayek's Iman SVB, while Dubai Arabian Horse Stud's D Rowa came third. In the Senior Mares Championship, the competition reached new heights. Irvinna Al Shiraa, under the colours of Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's Al Shira'aa Stables, took gold with a score of 36 points. Irvinna Al Shiraa impressed the judges with her regal presence and exceptional beauty. Al Fahad Mas from Al Jumail Stud, owned by Faisal Al Kubaisi, stole the show in the Yearling Colts Championship. Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyaee's S.S. Misk settled for silver, while Fam Vortex took the bronze. The Junior Colts Championship saw fierce competition, and D Borkan from Dubai Arabian Horse Stud finished on top, with a score of 38 points. Azzaam Al Amal followed closely, winning the silver, while AJ Sayer earned the bronze. E.S. Harir, owned by Al Saqran Arabian Horse Stud, claimed the gold in the Senior Stallions Championship, earning a flawless 40 points and leaving the competition in awe. Judges picked for Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the 22nd edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC) will be held from March 21-23 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Preparations are underway for the championship — an event celebrating the grace and heritage of Purebred Arabian horses taking place at the Conference Hall 7-8 over three days. The announcement came during a judges selection draw held at Dubai World Trade Centre, attended by Qusai Obaidalla, Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship Director and Board Member; Khalid Al Hammadi, SVP DXB Live DWTC; Abdullah Lootah, Assistant VP Production and Delivery DXB Live DWTC; Saif Ahli; and Adel Alfalasi, Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship Executive Manager. The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship is regarded as one of the world's most prestigious horse competitions, making it a must-attend event for the biggest and most well-respected owners of Arabian horses and elite stables. Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, this year's event will feature a distinct aura of heritage and tradition, allowing horse enthusiasts, sports enthusiasts, and families to enjoy special Ramadan evenings filled with fun activities for visitors of all ages. The show's 10 judges and two reserves were selected by a raffle draw from a pool of 23 highly experienced judges. The draw selected James Constanti from the US, Murilo Kammer from Brazil, Tarek Hamza from Egypt, Elyas Ebrahim Faraj from Bahrain, Anna Stojanowska from Poland, Christine Valette from France, Christine Jamar from Belgium, Gideon Reisel from the Netherlands, Eric Gear from France, and Urs Aeschebacher from Switzerland. The draw also selected reserve judges, including Jonas Salzmann from Kuwait and Mark Veray from France. All of the invitees have participated in judging panels at previous editions of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship. 'We have carefully selected the judges, ensuring that they represent a diverse range of expertise and uphold the highest standards of fairness, said Qusai Obaidalla. 'Their extensive experience in Arabian horse competitions will contribute to the integrity and prestige of the event. Additionally, we are honoured to host this championship during the holy month of Ramadan, adding a deeper cultural and spiritual significance to the occasion.
