He was handed down a restraining order from the Dubai police and had his name circulated amongst tennis authorities. Raducanu was approached by her stalker at the player hotel in Dubai the day before her second-round match with Karolina Muchova. The man handed her a letter and took a photo with the young British tennis star which reportedly left her unnerved. She had previously spotted the individual at tournaments in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
