Add Storage And Back Up Your New iPhone With PNY's Duo Link USB-C Dual Flash Drive

Have you recently upgraded your iPhone? If you have and you are concerned about running out of storage space, there is a way to store more stuff and back up your phone without paying the kind of money Apple charges to buy an iPhone with extra storage. A few years back, storage brand produced a USB storage solution that had a choice of USB-A and Lightning connectors along with Duo Link smartphone app that could be used to back up an iPhone or store media like photos, video and music to a PNY USB Duo Link. If you have one the old Lightning Duo Link drives, you may have discovered that it won't work with the newer USB-C iPhones, which are the models since iPhone 15. However, the good news is that PNY also makes a USB-C version of its Duo Link memory stick that works with the new Apple iPhones. The new PNY Duo Link USB 3.2 Type-C Dual flash drive is available in 128GB and 256GB capacities, with prices starting at $20.99 for 128GB and $29.99 for the 256GB version. That's considerably less than Apple charges for an extra slug of memory when you are buying an iPhone. The PNY Duo Link USB Type-C works automatically once the PNY app has been installed on an iPhone. Just plug the drive into the USB port and the app will automatically launch and offer to back up the iPhone, transfer media or whatever else needs to be stored externally. The app also functions in the other direction for moving files from the Duo Link to an iPhone. The whole process is straightforward and works well for freeing up space for taking more photos or videos. The Duo Link isn't fast enough to stream videos directly to it like some SSDs, but it is an easy way to back up important data and files as well as creating more space. Once the files are transferred to the USB drive, it's then easy to transfer the data to a Mac or PC for long term archiving and storage, freeing up more space on the PNY USB drive for future use. The drive has two interfaces, the USB-C one and a USB-A on the other end of the drive for use with an older device. Clearly, the most convenient way of handling storage problems on an iPhone is to buy the largest capacity you can afford, but that is expensive and not always necessary because an external storage device like the PNY Duo Link USB-C for decanting files may be all you need. The PNY Duo Link also works with Android phones and tablets, so it's not just for owners of newer iPhones, but now that Apple has dropped its Lightning port, this memory stick is the one you need new iPhones or iPad Pros. The PNY Duo Link USB 3.2 Type-C Dual Flash Drive is available now from PNY and other outlets in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities. The price for the 128GB model is $20.99 and a 256GB drive costs $29.99. Capacities: 64GB / 128GB / 256GB. Interface 1: USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C Interface 2: USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A Max read speed: Up to 200MB/s. Compatibility: USB 3.2 Gen 1/USB 3.0 equipped host devices, backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
