Once the files are transferred to the USB drive, it's then easy to transfer the data to a Mac or PC for long term archiving and storage, freeing up more space on the PNY USB drive for future use. The drive has two interfaces, the USB-C one and a USB-A on the other end of the drive for use with an older device.
