San Angelo man awarded Grand Champion at DPS Wraps up challenge
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) personnel traveled to Corpus Christi to compete in the 32nd annual Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Texas Challenge. According to a press release from Texas DPS, in this challenge Texas DPS personal demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of enforcement of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. A total of 21 DPS personnel competed in the 2025 Texas Challenge, as well as nine Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program Officers. 'Over three days of competition, participants were required to inspect multiple types of commercial vehicles and take a written exam to test their knowledge of rules, regulations and operational procedures', said Texas DPS. 'These events were judged by industry personnel and retired DPS CVE Troopers.' Dustin Henderson from San Angelo's DPS office was awarded Grand Champion of the event. Like Wolfhard and Matarazzo, several members of the cast were just kids when they first started filming Stranger Things, and viewers have watched them grow into adults right before our eyes.
