Kansas, 38 Special bringing their classic rock sounds to the Rose
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The bands behind 'Dust in the Wind'and 'Hold On Loosely' are joining forces for a summer show at Huber Heights.
The Classic/Prog Rock of Kansas and the Southern Rock of 38 Special will take the stage at Rose Music Center on July 3.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 18, at 10 a.m.
According to concert promoter MEMI, Kansas' triple-Platinum 'Dust in the Wind' has been played on the radio more than 3 million times. The band hit an even higher peak with 'Carry On Wayward Son,' which MEMI says is one of the five most-played songs on classic rock radio.
(Younger fans may know 'Carry On Wayward Son' from its status as the unofficial theme song to The CW's long-running 'Supernatural.')
Besides 'Hold On Loosely,' 38 Special has a deep bench of songs you may not know when you read their titles, but are nearly instantly recognizable, including 'Caught Up In You,' 'Second Chance' and 'If I'd Been the One.'
