Pembroke man charged with murder after joint investigation
PEMBROKE, N.C. (WBTW) — A Pembroke man has been charged with murder following a joint investigation with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, authorities said.
John Luther Locklear, 46, is being held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center ahead of an initial court appearance Monday. He's charged in the murder of Dwayne Locklear, 66, of Pembroke.
The arrest stems from a death reported at 10 a.m. in the 500 block of Union Chapel Road Thursday morning.
