Brittany & Patrick Mahomes React to Taylor Swift's Masters Deal

Originally appeared on E! Online Patrick Mahomes and are on Taylor Swift's team. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife both expressed their support for the "Long Love" singer—who has been dating Chiefs player Travis Kelce since 2023—after she announced May 30 she had bought the masters to her first six albums after a years-long battle. The singer, 35, shared the news on Instagram, writing, "You belong with me," alongside photos with her albums Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation. A letter on her website detailed how she was able to retrieve the rights after trying for several years and even re-recording albums in the process in order to own her music. Brittany, who has accompanied Taylor to several Chiefs games and other star-studded events, reposted Taylor's announcement to her Instagram story on May 30, writing, "Just so amazing." Patrick reacted to the news the same day, resharing a post on X that included one of Taylor's photos and a screenshot of the letter. More from E! Six years ago, Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings LLC purchased her former label, Big Machine Records, ultimately buying the rights to her first six albums. The following year, he sold the label, including the rights to her music, allegedly without her knowledge to Shamrock Capital, whom Taylor now purchased the masters from. "All I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to one day purchase my masters outright with no strings attached, no partnership, with full autonomy," she wrote in her letter to fans. "I will be forever grateful to everyone at Shamrock Capital for being the first people to ever offer this to me. The way they've handled every interaction we've had has been honest, fair, and respectful. This was a business deal to them, but I really felt like they saw it for what it was to me: My memories and my sweat and my handwriting and my decades of dreams." Felicity Huffman Reacts to Desperate Housewives Spinoff

Originally appeared on E! Online Felicity Huffman is excited to take another trip down Wisteria Lane. The Desperate Housewives alum shared that she was thrilled to learn that a new series following a new group of residents is in the works. In fact, a big draw for her is that Kerry Washington is set to executive produce the spinoff, titled Wisteria Lane. "I'm completely 100 percent behind it," Felicity told E! News in an exclusive interview that aired May 29. "Kerry Washington—it's so great that she's doing it with women of color. It's exactly what's needed." And Felicity isn't only amped about the show's premise, which focuses on an eclectic group of neighbors hiding secrets beneath the surface of their picture-perfect, Instagram-friendly lives. The 62-year-old also expressed feeling hopeful that original creator Marc Cherry will return to help bring the story to life in some capacity. "I think Marc Cherry, who created it and is brilliant, is involved," she said. "So, it's going to be a great ride." More from E! "Marc Cherry has a very specific voice, and that singular voice resonated with people," Felicity explained. "And the way he created those women's friendships—the friendship is key." Another project the Good Lawyer star is looking forward to seeing on screen? Her two-part Lifetime movie The Thirteenth Wife: Escaping Polygamy, which premieres May 31 and June 1 on the channel at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. For Felicity, the film—which is based on the real-life story of Rena Chynoweth, who was forced to become the 13th wife of polygamist cult leader Ervil LaBaron—is guaranteed to be a "rollercoaster" for viewers. "It's really important to watch it," she shared. "A cult from the outside, you look and you go, 'Oh, I'd never believe that.' But from the inside, when you're indoctrinated by your community and by your family, you start to believe outlandish, crazy things." Felicity added, "So, it's engaging, but I think we need to hear these stories as well." Elon Musk Reveals His Son X Gave Him a Black Eye

Originally appeared on E! Online is explaining the origin of his black eye. During a press availability event alongside President May 30, the Tesla CEO appeared to sport a bruise around one of his eyes, telling reporters in the Oval Office that the contusion came from a play session with his 5-year-old son X Æ A-12 that got out of hand. 'I was just walking around with little X,' he explained, 'and I said, 'Go ahead, punch me in the face.' And he did.' During the appearance—which coincided with Musk's last day as a formal White House employee—the billionaire also made a brief reference to X's mother, Canadian singer Grimes, noting that the boy was 'with his mom right now.' Days earlier, Musk, 53, confirmed he was stepping away from his role with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), writing on social media that he had fulfilled his duties as planned. He added, 'The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.' Trump, 78, told his cabinet in March that Musk would shortly be exiting his governmental role, according to NBC News. Later, Musk appeared to criticize a domestic policy bill backed by Republican lawmakers that would increase government spending, thereby increasing the national debt. 'I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decrease it,' he said in a preview clip from an interview with CBS Sunday Morning set to air June 1. Lester Holt Details Departure From NBC Nightly News

Originally appeared on E! Online Lester Holt wants his NBC family to continue to take care of themselves and each other. Ahead of the longtime anchor's final NBC Nightly News broadcast, the 66-year-old—who has been a staple of the network's flagship news series for a decade—shared a bit of insight into the new chapter he's stepping into with Dateline. 'I've been hosting Dateline for many years,' Holt told hosts Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin during a May 30 episode of Today, 'but long form is something I really wanted to get my teeth into.' 'It's a different set of news muscles,' he continued. 'The time just seemed to be right. You know, you hit a certain age, you start thinking, 'What's the back part of my career going to look like?'' After all, since becoming a co-anchor of the weekend edition of Today in 2003, the veteran journalist has been wrapped up in the fast-paced world of daily news. More from E! Online TikToker Emilie Kiser's Lawyer Speaks Out on "Worst Nightmare" After Son's Drowning Death How Julie Chrisley Feels About Ditching Her Blonde Hair After Prison Donald Trump Addresses Whether He'd Pardon Sean "Diddy" Combs Amid Sex Trafficking Trial 'I'm going to miss the crazy deadline pressure of day-to-day television,' he admitted. 'I'm going to miss that energy of the breaking news and running to the airport—and things that make me crazy, too—but also that kind of energize you at the same time.' Assuring his viewers that he is moving on to join the ranks of the 'best storytellers in the business' over at Dateline, Holt began to reminisce on his biggest accomplishments while anchoring at NBC. 'There's certain stories that make me proud,' he shared. 'I'm really proud of what we did during the pandemic. We figured out really quickly how to get on TV again. We had to kind of reinvent the wheel.' But during those unprecedented times, while he was busy pushing through tech issues and phone calls with engineers to successfully host Nightly News from his home, Holt's iconic tagline was born. 'These were dark days,' he recalled of the COVID-19 pandemic, 'and we're telling stories of freezer trucks on the streets of New York with the remains of people. 'I just needed to have some kind of a signal,' he added, 'or some message to the audience that said, 'Hey, I get it. We're all in this together, and this is tough.' And so I started saying, 'Take care of yourself and each other.'' And though he later found out that he may have accidentally adopted that line from Jerry Springer, it became a permanent part of the legacy he built during his many years hosting Nightly News. Now, as Holt prepares to step into his new role as primary anchor for Dateline, he is looking forward to making new impacts in the world of news. 'I feel like the new kid on campus with all my study notes ready to take on,' he joked, adding, 'We've got some really important projects in the very near future.' Holt isn't the only star who has walked away from their hit show. Keep reading to see more shocking exits… (E!, NBC News and Today are all part of the NBCUniversal family.) Taylor Swift Reveals Fate of Reputation , Taylor Swift Rerecordings

Originally appeared on E! Online Look what you made Taylor Swift do. The "Delicate" singer—who had been rerecording her first six albums following a music battle with Scooter Braun—officially revealed that she now owns all of her music. So, what will happen to the updated versions of Reputation and Taylor Swift? "What about Rep TV? Full transparency: I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it," Taylor explained in a letter shared to her website May 30. "The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it. All that defiance, that longing to be understood while feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snark and mischief.' Indeed, Taylor admitted that while the rerecording of her debut album was complete—and may be released at some point in the future—Reputation will not see the same fate. 'To be perfectly honest, it's the album in those first six that I thought couldn't be improved on by redoing it,' Taylor admitted. 'Not the music, or photos, or videos. So I kept putting it off. There will be a time (if you're into the idea) for the unreleased Vault tracks from that album to hatch.' More from E! Online TikToker Emilie Kiser's Lawyer Speaks Out on "Worst Nightmare" After Son's Drowning Death How Julie Chrisley Feels About Ditching Her Blonde Hair After Prison Donald Trump Addresses Whether He'd Pardon Sean "Diddy" Combs Amid Sex Trafficking Trial That said, she isn't completely scrapping them if her fans express interest in hearing them. 'If it happens, it won't be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have,' she continued. 'It will just be a celebration now.' The original version of Reputation, which Taylor released in November 2017 in response to criticism she'd been receiving in the press, featured 15 songs, including tracks about former boyfriend Joe Alwyn—"Gorgeous" and "King of My Heart"—as well as her feud with Kanye West on "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things." It was Taylor's clash with Kanye and then-wife Kim Kardashian—at the height of which the Kardashiansstar posted parts of a conversation between Taylor and Kanye discussing his song "Famous" online—that led the "Bad Blood" artist to take a step back from the spotlight. 'You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,' Taylor recalled to Time last December, referencing the debate over if she knew she'd be referred to as "that b--tch" in Kanye's song. 'That took me down psychologically to a place I've never been before." "I moved to a foreign country," she continued. "I didn't leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn't trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.' And how does she feel about the Reputation era today? 'It's a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure,' Taylor told Time. 'I think a lot of people see it and they're just like, Sick snakes and strobe lights.' Though she did confirm the updated version's vault tracks—if fans care to hear them—will be 'fire." Keep reading for more fascinating facts about TSwift.
