TP-Link's First Omada Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point Is Waterproof For Outdoor Use

The new Omada BE11000 EAP772-Outdoor Wi-Fi 7 wireless access point offers true tri-band ... More omnidirectional coverage. If you've ever struggled to get a strong enough signal in your yard, factory or even school sports field, you could be just the kind of person that Omada, TP-Link's business solutions brand, is hoping to attract with the launch of its first tri-band, six-stream, omnidirectional outdoor access point. The BE11000 EAP772-Outdoor offers true tri-band omnidirectional coverage which TP-Link says can surpass other dual-band products currently on the market. With up to 300m2 (3,200ft2) of omnidirectional coverage the EAP772-Outdoor offers stable connectivity across large outdoor areas. Thanks to its IP68-rated design, the new access point has the highest industry standard for dust and water resistance which makes it suitable for providing Wi-Fi coverage at hotel gardens, business parks, yards, farms and other assorted outbuildings. With the latest Wi-Fi 7 features, such as Multi-Link Operation, 4K-QAM and 320MHz channel widths, the EAP772-Outdoor has speeds up to 11Gbps across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands. The 6 GHz band, enabled by AFC compliance, is a less crowded spectrum with reduced signal interference. The EAP772-Outdoor Wi-Fi 7 wireless access point is able to withstand being submerged in water. The EAP772-Outdoor has true tri-band omnidirectional coverage for reliable connectivity in crowded outdoor settings such as wedding receptions or concerts. Users get uninterrupted outdoor connectivity even on bandwidth-intensive applications like 4K/8K gaming, live streaming and real-time data transfers. The EAP772-Outdoor's IP68-rated enclosure provides complete protection against dust and prevents damage from being immersed in water immersion for longer than 30 minutes. The unit can withstand harsh conditions like heavy rain, strong winds and humid conditions, plus it can withstand temperatures from -30°C to 70°C, making it suitable for extremely hot and cold environments. Featuring a 2.5Gbps PoE+ port for high-throughput applications and remote power supply, the EAP772-Outdoor has dual-polarized 2.4GHz antennas for tackling interference with improved signal stability even in complex outdoor layouts and urban areas where there's strong interference from competing wireless base stations. The EAP772-Outdoor can be wall or pole mounted. The new access point can be installed with a variety of options including wall and pole mounts for fast deployment in a range of settings. Integration with Omada SDN provides one-click adoption and automatic device discovery, streamlining the setup process. As part of Omada's unified SDN ecosystem, the EAP772-Outdoor works with Omada's range of switches, gateways and controllers with end-to-end visibility, automated optimization, zero-touch onboarding and even batch configuration, all from a single cloud interface. In addition to the new EAP772-Outdoor model, TP-Link's Omada Wi-Fi 7 lineup also includes tri-band ceiling-mounted models and dual-band EAP723 devices. The brand's upcoming EAP725-Wall will expand the Omada lineup with a compact wall plate design suitable for offices and hotels. The new EAP772-Outdoor tri-band, six-stream, omnidirectional outdoor access point is available through Omada store and main distribution channels priced at $249.99.
