Rob Van Dam, one of wrestling's most iconic high-flyers, is all set to enter a new chapter in his life — fatherhood. The 54-year-old WWE Hall of Famer and his wife, fellow wrestler Katie Forbes, announced they are expecting their first child, due in 2026.
The news came via an Instagram post from Forbes, where the couple shared a joyful moment featuring a baby onesie labeled 'The Next WWE Superstar.' Surrounded by their dogs and beaming with excitement, the couple's unique personality shone through, with RVD making a trademark wide-eyed expression and Forbes flashing her signature smile. 'Baby Van Dam coming 2026 💕🎊🎉,' she wrote.
A heartwarming moment for the Van Dam family
Rob Van Dam, whose real name is Robert Szatkowski, first shot to fame in the 1990s through Paul Heyman's ECW before making a high-impact transition to WWE in the early 2000s.
Known for his extreme in-ring style, agility, and crowd connection, RVD has held multiple titles across major promotions, including the WWE and ECW Championships.
Rob Van Dam vs John Cena ECW One Night Stand 2006

Wrestling community reacts
The announcement sparked a flurry of reactions from fans and fellow wrestlers alike. From Ryback's warm 'Congratulations!' to playful tweets imagining 'Baby Van Dam' frog-splashing into the world, the wrestling universe showered the couple with love and humor.
A fan joked, 'What if the baby's name is Bobby? Bob Van Dam in the future?' while another added, 'The little F'N Show! Congrats!'
Despite turning 54, Van Dam continues to lace up his boots occasionally. His most recent in-ring appearance came at MLW's Battle Riot VII earlier this year. Speaking on retirement, RVD recently told Chris Van Vliet, 'I don't think I'll ever retire… even if I stop taking bookings, I won't make a big deal out of it.'
As Van Dam and Forbes step into parenthood, fans across generations are cheering them on. Whether or not the next 'Van Dam-inator' joins the wrestling business, one thing is certain - Baby Van Dam is already a star in the making.
