Flip Flops Are Back, And Comfortable - Here's The 30 Best Pairs You Can Wear All Summer
Flip-flops were once reserved for the beach or lounging by the pool. But now, the slip-on-and-go staple has become a bona fide fashion essential, thanks to modern upgrades that make them look chicer than ever. From the latest square-toe details on a classic pair of Havaianas to a studded strap on Balenciaga slides, the newest designs turn the timeless sandal into a style-forward must-have. Even better, today's flip-flops don't feel like an afterthought. Recent drops are polished enough to wear to a fancy brunch or even a summer wedding. Just ask Kendall Jenner, who's been spotted wearing sculptural stiletto flip-flops by Alaïa with a celebration-worthy dress in her latest FWRD campaign. Zoë Kravitz has also been a fan, often pairing barely-there thong sandals with loose trousers or oversize shirting in true downtown style star form. Fashion insiders are co-signing the look too. Street style at the Copenhagen and Paris shows revealed a wave of editors styling flip-flops with maxi skirts, tailored vests, and even eveningwear. The effortless contrast delivers the kind of easy-going elegance typically found on the French Riviera. Of course, nothing in fashion is ever entirely 'new'. Nostalgic references are fueling the flip-flop revival as well. Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy famously wore them in SoHo in the '90s, giving the ultra-minimal shoe a polished, off-duty vibe that still resonates. Today's versions echo that ease—but with a luxury twist. No matter the event on your calendar, flip-flops are the ultimate dependable hero to slip into this summer—and with the right styling, they might just be the chicest choice you make. Discover the best-in-category flip-flops to shop in our curated selection below. Flat Flip-Flops Nothing beats a flip-flop that has withstood the test of time. You can never go wrong with tried-and-true styles by Tkees or a beloved Tory Burch flip-flop. Studded Flip-Flops The best micro-trend to try within this category is the studded flip-flop. Whether you gravitate towards grommets or bulbous beads, this flashy take will make your vacation outfits feel festive. Leather Flip-Flops The easiest way to elevate the humble flip-flop is with quality materials—like the leather straps on these coveted styles. Kitten Heel Flip-Flops Want a little height without any discomfort? Reach for a kitten heel option. These styles pair with everything, from Bermuda shorts to linen pants. High Heel Flip-Flops You can also go all out with sky-high flip-flops created by your favorite designer. The choice is yours. Lululemon's Viral Dress Is Taking Over Summer—Here's Why Everyone's Obsessed
When we think of Lululemon, we likely envision sleek leggings and elevated two-piece sets that transition seamlessly from the gym to brunch. The brand has long excelled in athleisure, creating buttery soft essentials that flatter the figure and offer cooling comfort during workouts. However, there are a few recent additions that have caught our attention—and surprisingly, it's not just sports bras and leggings. We're currently obsessing over the 2-in-1 Maxi Dress, and it's about to be the item everyone's trying to get their hands on. The versatile staple features a flattering drop-waist silhouette that effortlessly blends the sporty-chic aesthetic with effortless elegance. It can be easily dressed up or down—wear it as a sleek maxi dress for a night out or fold it down into a skirt for casual errands or meetings. It's available in two wear-anywhere neutrals, Black and Light Ivory, as well as a vivid, statement-making Raceway Green. Style the ivory version with a mini raffia bag and a chunky slide for a casual vacation-ready look, or pair the black option with a slingback heel and large suede clutch for an elevated, evening-worthy ensemble. No less impressive, these other styles wear like luxury with the comfort the brand is known for. Beyond the dresses, there's even more to celebrate—Lululemon is marking 10 years of one of its most beloved creations, the Align Pant. To commemorate the milestone, the brand has launched the Align No Line collection, and our editors are already in love. Designed by Antonia Iamartino, the visionary behind the original Align, the new pieces are crafted 'for movement, for emotion, for the space where form meets feeling.' In simpler terms, you'll want to wear them all the time, everywhere. If you're looking to refresh your wardrobe with pieces that go beyond the gym or studio, these styles are designed to make you feel your best—no matter what's on your summer agenda. Why The Tube Dress Is 2025's Must-Have Trend — And 15 Of The Best Styles To Buy Now
In the ever-spinning cycle of fashion, the tube dress has emerged as a standout silhouette for summer 2025, reclaiming its place as a warm-weather staple. Designers from Khaite to Alaïa revived the body-skimming column shape, offering updated takes that felt both minimalist and impactful. At Staud and Reformation, we saw playful reimagining in candy-colored hues and easygoing knits, while Zara leaned into soft jersey and ruched textures for everyday versatility. FIND OUT MORE ON ELLE COLLECTIVE Part of the appeal? The tube dress aligns with fashion's current return to stripped-down, sensual elegance. It channels the essence of the '90s and early 2000s without feeling overtly nostalgic — especially when done in modern fabrics or bold primary shades. It's also endlessly versatile. Dress it up with sculptural jewellery and platform sandals or wear it barefoot with slicked-back hair for a beachy, off-duty look. Of course, no conversation about tube dresses would be complete without a nod to the Wolford Fatal dress—a one-size-fits-all classic that's graced the bodies of everyone from supermodels to stylists. It's still a wardrobe MVP for good reason. It hugs curves without clinging and can be styled as a skirt, midi, or even a strapless top. Shopping tip: Look for high-stretch blends that won't lose shape over time. Whether you're splurging on a sculptural Alaïa or snagging a Mango or H&M version under £100, the tube dress is this season's most flattering no-brainer. The Steve Madden Shoes Everyone's Adding to Their Cart
Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. There are so many podcasts nowadays, it's hard for a single episode to cut through the noise, but that's exactly what Steve Madden did in his recent appearance on Recho Omondi's The Cutting Room Floor. And after going viral, Madden and his iconic brand are all anyone in fashion is talking about, myself included. Omondi's adept interviewing and Madden's unabashed honesty made for a refreshingly real conversation. The designer, who famously built the billion-dollar company from scratch and caused a scandal or two in doing so, backed his brand confidently—and with much success. In the aftermath, social media comments flooded with praise for his frankness. And then, with all the buzz around the man himself, the conversation shifted toward the products, which tend to be trend- or designer-inspired and reasonably priced around $100. It seems like the internet is collectively remembering why the label got so popular in the first place. And just like that, Steve Madden—the man and the brand—is back on top. After launching in 1990, the shoe and accessory brand quickly became a huge sensation and fashion favorite, sustaining this status for more than two decades. And if it fell out of the spotlight over the last five to 10 years, it's certainly back with a vengeance now. Madden has an impressive list of loyal fans. Lady Gaga wore custom boots for her Coachella performances and has continued sporting them for her recent Mayhem shows. The ranks also include Rachel Zegler, Selena Gomez, Jennie Kim, Jenna Ortega, Alix Earle, and of course, yours truly. Earlier this spring, I added this classic pair of black heels to my collection, and I get compliments every time I wear them. If you, too, are getting reacquainted with the brand, I've rounded up some of my favorite styles to shop now. The Courthouse Bride's Guide to Chic, Unconventional Dresses
I've never been sure if I want to get married, but I have always known that if I do, it won't be a traditional occasion. All that stress, effort, and to feed my second cousin's boyfriend? No, thank you. If you're like me—technically, you're way ahead of me; I don't even have a romantic prospect—you fancy yourself as more of a laidback bride. But that doesn't have to equate to 'boring' by any means. Au contraire, I rounded up 15 impeccable (if I do say so) dresses for a courthouse wedding that will make any conventional bride reconsider her choices—respectfully, of course. It doesn't matter if you're working with a rushed timeline, tight budget, or impossible in-laws; whatever your reason may be for saying 'I do' in a more casual setting, it's still your special day even if it doesn't look like everyone else's. Treat it as such. You deserve to feel like the most show-stopping bride in the world. And, if my girl math is correct, all that money you'll save on the wedding itself just means you have more to spend on your outfit. That's a good enough reason for me. Ahead, find the most stylish and elegant courthouse wedding dresses. You're going to make a gorgeous bride. Nothing feels more fanciful than a neck scarf, right? If you don't want to celebrate your nuptials in a logo-emblazoned dress, I totally understand that. But this crystal-covered horsebit, on the other hand, is a no-brainer. Two things ladies love: an open back and a big-ass bow. Kendall Jenner wore this dress once, and it's lived rent-free in my mind ever since. A mini hemline is so darling for a summer wedding—and not an option for most brides who have traditional weddings. Leave the fussy trains to them and show some leg instead, just because you can. In case you missed it, Alix Earle wore this for the Kentucky Derby and looked incredible. Oh, Helsa, you really do have my heart. This look is so chic I can hardly stand it. Every side is your good side, especially in an asymmetrical dress like this one from Roksanda. My own sister wore this for her after-party, and it was so dang fun. (The dress, that is, not the party. The party was just so-so.) In my heart of hearts, I think I would be a Christopher Esber bride, should that day ever come for me. What if you were the 'something blue'? It's your day, and if you don't want to wear white, don't. This dress can be worn with the deep-V in the front or in the back, so if you prefer a high neckline and upper-arm coverage, this is the one for you. For the truly high fashion bride, this option A) lets you wear pants (huge win), and B) plays into the layered skirt trend. Clio Peppiatt does some of the most stunning embellished dresses I've ever seen, like this strapless column dress. Getting married in Vivienne Westwood just sounds like a fashion girl's dream come true. Every product featured on is independently researched, tested, or editor-approved.
