ENRA bags RM137m storage tanker deal
ENRA Group Bhd has secured a US$32.09 million (approximately RM136.56 million) contract to provide a storage tanker solution for upstream operations in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA), marking a significant win for the group's energy logistics business. The 12-month deal was formalised via a binding heads of agreement (HOA) between ENRA's wholly owned subsidiary, Hexagon Energy Logistics Sdn Bhd (HELSB), and SIP JDA Sdn Bhd. The contract period runs from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, and supports Carigali-PTTEPI's operations in the hydrocarbon-rich MTJDA. In connection with the announcement, Bursa Malaysia halted trading of ENRA's securities from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. today, pending the release of the material information. The counter resumed trading at 10.00 a.m. following the announcement. ENRA said the deal is expected to contribute positively to its earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The HOA does not involve any issuance of new shares and will not affect the group's capital structure. No directors or major shareholders of ENRA, nor any persons connected to them, have any direct or indirect interest in the HOA. — TMR

UPDATED: Death toll in train-microbus collision in Ismailia rises to 10 - Reports - Urban & Transport
The death toll of a passenger train collision with a minibus at an unauthorized crossing point along the Gelbana-Qantara East Road in Ismailia governorate increased from 8 to 10, in addition to 10 injured on Thursday, Medical sources said. According to medical sources who spoke with local media, one person succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, in addition to the microbus driver, bringing the total number of fatalities to 10. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly directed Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar to ensure full medical care for those injured by the train-microbus collision. Additionally, Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy has been instructed to expedite the disbursement of EGP 100,000 in compensation for each fatality. According to the Egyptian National Railways Authority (ENRA), the train travelled on the Qantara East-Bir Al-Abd line when the collision occurred. The Ministry of Health stated that 13 fully equipped ambulances were dispatched to the incident site. In addition, the 12 injured passengers from the minibus were transported to Qantara East Central Hospital. Early response According to the ENRA's announcement, immediately after the incident, Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir rushed to the accident site and visited the hospital where the injured were transported. Moreover, the transport ministry extended its heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured and expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased. The national authority called on citizens and vehicle drivers to strictly adhere to crossing only at designated railway crossings and avoid crossing from unauthorized areas due to the grave consequences it causes, including loss of life and significant damage. In parallel, according to a statement by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Minister Maya Morsy directed the Head of the Central Administration for Social Protection to coordinate with the director of the Social Solidarity Directorate in Ismailia Governorate and the Egyptian Red Crescent's relief team to provide emergency interventions and assistance. Minister Morsy also instructed the disbursement of necessary compensation for the affected families in coordination with local charitable organizations. According to the Ministry of Local Development, Minister Manal Awad held several phone calls with Major General Akram Mohamed Galal, governor of Ismailia, to stay updated on the latest developments. She ensured that all necessary measures were being taken and declared a maximum-limit emergency state across all executive bodies in the governorate. Moreover, Minister Awad emphasized the importance of supporting the ongoing efforts of various ministries, particularly in delivering urgent relief interventions and assistance to the families of the injured and deceased.
