The morning of the shooting, a gray Toyota 4Runner was stolen from a West Knoxville home, according to the post, which was shared by the Knoxville Police Department. That afternoon, Hill, a plumber, was working at a Boright Drive home. As he worked, the stolen 4Runner circled the area, seemingly watching Hill work, ETVCS said; this was caught on camera. After leaving the home, Hill drove to Knox Rail Salvage, and footage showed the stolen truck following him.
'At 3:22 p.m., as Hill exited his truck, an unknown suspect exited the 4Runner, shot Hill, then fled in the vehicle,' ETVCS wrote. 'The 4Runner was later found abandoned near Austin-East High School.'
ETVCS encouraged people with information on the stolen truck or the shooting to contact them.
