Philadelphia coffee shop needed some help moving a 650-pound oven. They got it from Eagles' Jordan Mailata
Eagles tackle and Super Bowl LIX champion Jordan Mailata is used to blocking massive sprinting defenders to make lanes for Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts to run, so lifting and moving a 650-pound oven is probably a piece of cake. A Philadelphia coffee shop is blowing up on social media after posting a video showing just how strong Mailata really is. The video from The Ground CPG (Coffee, Plants and Gifts) shows the 6-foot-8 lineman keeping good form while he puts the oven into place in the kitchen at the shop's Rittenhouse location. "It's actually not that bad," he says as he slides and shimmies the massive machine into place. The location just opened in April 2024 but had a small kitchen fire in December that shut down the business for about three months to renovate. The owner tells CBS News Philadelphia Jordan and Niki Mailata are their good friends. The first caption on the video reads, "When you just won the Super Bowl, but you're still a good friend and the homie needs help moving a commercial oven." The shop has multiple Eagles-themed drinks including the Hakuna Mailata, a honeydew and peach milk tea with kiwi boba — called a Mailatte if you get it with espresso. The Ground's Instagram post says the kitchen is almost ready to reopen – likely within the next two weeks.

Super Bowl 2025: Anne Hathaway steals the show with viral jumbotron reaction
Anne Hathaway delighted fans with her enthusiastic cameo on the Super Bowl jumbotron. The Devil Wears Prada star, 42, was one of several celebrities to attend Sunday night's (9 February) match at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans to see the Philadelphia Eagles dominant victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in a 40-22 victory. Also in attendance were Taylor Swift, who appeared unfussed as she was booed by the crowd, Louis Tomlinson, Jay Z, Paul McCartney – and Kendrick Lamar, who performed at half-time. Hathaway, an Eagles supporter, could not contain her excitement as she saw her team take the lead. The Princess Diaries actor, 42, appeared thrilled as she sang along to chants with the Eagles fans and posed whenever the camera panned to her. Fans watching from home praised Hathaway, who was wearing a green Eagles-themed cardigan over her white knitted shirt, for her unbridled reaction to the game. 'Look at Anne Hathaway!' exclaimed one person on X/Twitter, with another writing: 'If Anne Hathaway is an Eagles fan then I'm an Eagles fan, too.' 'My girl Anne Hathaway cheering for the Eagles! I love to see it!!' said a third person. LOOK AT ANNE HATHAWAY GENERATIONAL ❤️ #SuperBowl — ' (@iViratOTC) February 10, 2025 Someone else wrote: 'Anne Hathaway is all in for the Eagles at the Super Bowl, rocking green and cheering Philly to victory.' Swift, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, attracted a very different reaction from the Eagles fans with the pop star being booed whenever the jumbotron landed on her. After the 'Karma' singer was shown on the big screen, the crowd erupted in boos, which she appeared to be unbothered by, looking over at her friends Ice Spice and the Haim sisters before giving the camera a side eye. Although Kanye West was not in attendance at the game, the controversial rapper posted a rant about Swift before deleting his X/Twitter account and thanking Elon Musk for allowing him to 'vent'. His posts about Swift at the Super Bowl followed shortly after his antisemitic outburst on social media last week, which led to his account having a 'sensitive content warning' label added to it due to his use of offensive slurs. Meanwhile, Donald Trump became the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl in person, which has largely resulted in a positive reaction from the players and fans. The US president went on to post on his Truth Social platform about the crowd booing Swift as he shared a post from an account called 'Libs of TikTok', which read 'Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed'.

Pennsylvania tattoo artist makes Philadelphia Eagles pride permanent for fans
At Swagga House tattoo studio in Elkins Park, Philadelphia Eagles fans are making their team pride permanent. Ron Pichardo, a North Philadelphia native and tattoo artist, has made a name for himself by inking elaborate Eagles-themed tattoos. For Pichardo, the artwork represents the ultimate display of Eagles pride. "You gotta say it for life and wear it on your skin," Pichardo said. "So I feel like this is the ultimate commitment as a fan." Pichardo considers himself a big Eagles fan, too, but his brothers took different paths. "One is a Dallas fan, the other one's a Patriots fan … go figure," he said. On Wednesday, Pichardo was busy working on Eric Piehl from Port Richmond. "It felt like the right time to do it," Piehl said about his decision to get an eagle tattooed on his left leg. "Why not? Super Bowl … just felt fitting." Piehl's not alone. According to Pichardo, whenever the Eagles make it to the Super Bowl, demand for Birds tattoos skyrockets. Fans from across the region and beyond seek him out. "I even had someone fly in from Germany to get one," he said. Pichardo's work has gained national attention. After the Eagles' 2018 Super Bowl victory, ESPN ranked one of his tattoos second among the top 10 Eagles Super Bowl tattoos. "That was a highlight," Pichardo said. Beyond tattooing, Pichardo also expresses his Eagles devotion through other visual art. He designs and sells custom clothing, including a shirt created for this year's Super Bowl called "Bird Gang Revenge," which features an eagle tearing apart a red helmet. "That's how I feel," Pichardo said. "And I'm pretty sure that's how everybody in Philadelphia feels. It's revenge time, all right?" His approach to art mirrors the discipline of an athlete. A marathon runner himself, Pichardo said he often imagines what the Eagles players experience on game day. "I know adrenaline is pumping crazy and all. You can get in your head pretty bad about a race. So they're probably going through it, but once that ball snaps, I'm sure it's just like tunnel vision," he said. That vision became reality once he completed his tattoo on Piehl — an eagle, quite literally, bleeding green.
