Which villains will be seen in Spider-Man-4? Here's all that we know about Peter Parker's next challenge
The rumour mill is working overtime yet again, and this time it's churning out stories regarding the villains we can expect to see in the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day. Out of all the places in the world, The Disney Blockbuster Consumer Products Presentation provided the fans with some insight into all the possible characters that could be standing in the way of Peter Parker and justice in the fourth film of the franchise. A user on Instagram who attended the presentation posted details about the event and the hints that they dropped during it. While the post is now deleted, it wasn't long before major publications picked it up and started breaking down all the information they had been provided with. The villains that have been named as a possibility for Spider-Man 4 include the Scorpion, Boomerang, and Tombstone. Scorpion and Tombstone have already been seen in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, playing the role of Kingpin's henchmen. ALSO READ: Spider-Noir teaser leaked: Nicolas Cage emerges from the shadows in live-action Spider-Man spin-off show While this information is still standing on a shaky foundation, there is news about who Stranger Things actor Sadie Sink is going to play in the movie, and it originates from a much more credible source. While appearing on the podcast The Hot Mic, industry insider John Rocha talked about his discussion with someone from the Marvel camp, and he revealed that Sadie is likely to play the character of Mayday Parker or Spider-Girl. Mayday is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson who belongs to the 'Marvel Comics 2' universe. Technically the redheaded troublemaker has already graced the screens, as she was seen as an infant in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and was introduced as the daughter of Peter and Mary from Earth 616, which is considered the original timeline. If we look at the current information available to us about the three Spider-Men that appeared in the last film, it is most likely that Sadie will be playing the daughter of Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane, who technically also belong to Earth 616. Even in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tobey's Peter talks about his relationship with Dunst's Mary and says to Garfield's Peter, 'I wouldn't give up. It took a while, but we made it work, I and MJ. As rumours about character appearances fill up to the brim, fans are waiting for any kind of confirmation from the studios, while Marvel and Disney, in classic fashion, are playing this close to the chest. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to release in theatres on July 31, 2026.

Silver Surfer Reportedly Set to Appear in Multiple MCU Projects Including a Solo Film — GeekTyrant
It looks like Marvel Studios may have big cosmic plans for Silver Surfer beyond his upcoming debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps , and we might not be getting just one Surfer, either. According to industry scooper Daniel Richtman: 'There are plans for Silver Surfer [to] be in multiple projects after [ The Fantastic Four: First Steps ] including a solo film.' While he didn't clarify which version of the character will be leading the charge, or when and where he'll appear next, I've been hoping that Silver Surfer would have a long-term, cosmic role in the MCU. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in a retro-futuristic 1960s-inspired alternate timeline, not the Earth-616 continuity that most MCU projects occupy. Director Matt Shakman has teased that the film pulls inspiration from various eras of Fantastic Four comics, including Earth X, a timeline that features a twist on the traditional Silver Surfer by introducing Shalla-Bal, a female version of the character who takes on the mantle instead of Norrin Radd. Some have called her inclusion 'woke,' despite the fact that Shalla-Bal has been part of Silver Surfer lore for decades. That said, the expectation among many fans is that we'll still see the more well-known version of the character, Norrin Radd, eventually show up in Earth-616, especially if a solo film is truly in development. There's even speculation that Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars could be the next logical places for the Surfer to reappear. Both would offer a grand, multiversal playground where different versions of the character including Shalla-Bal and Norrin Radd could exist side by side. But again, take it all with a grain of cosmic dust. Marvel Studios is known for keeping its long-term plans close to the chest, and with The Fantastic Four set to hit theaters this July, it's unlikely we'll get any official confirmation about spin-offs or future appearances until after the film lands. As for Shakman, he's made it clear his focus is on bringing the Fantastic Four and their world to life by going straight to the source material. 'I'm not so much looking at the other movies,' he explained in a previous interview. 'I'm looking at the comics themselves. I'm a huge comic book fan. I've been a big fan of the Fantastic Four since I was a kid.' 'So going back to Kirby and Lee and Byrne and following all the way up to what's happening — certainly Hickman and Waid and Ryan North, what he's been doing,' he continued. 'I'm trying to figure out who these characters are to me and how to bring them to life in the best possible way, and that's really where I've started and how we've approached it.' Whether it's Shalla-Bal, Norrin Radd, or both, it's exciting to hear that Silver Surfer may finally be getting the spotlight the character deserves in the MCU. If Marvel plays its cards right, the next phase of cosmic storytelling could be one of its most ambitious yet. What are your hopes for Silver Surfer's future in the MCU? Would you be down for a solo film featuring both versions?

Spider-Gwen's Twisty 2025 Continues in New Comic Relaunch
She's gonna be in the next 'Spider-Verse' movie, which means it's time for Spider-Gwen to star in a new comics run. Ever since she first debuted as a superheroic variant of Gwen Stacy in 2014, Spider-Gwen has become a semi-staple of Spider-Man media. If she's not swinging on her own with Miles or Peter, she's caught up in her own situations. While the original Gwen is being revived and turned into Gwenpool in a few months, the wallcrawling Stacy is getting another solo comic that help keep her in the orbit of other Spider-heroes. So in All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost Spider from returning writer and artist duo Stephanie Phillips and Paolo Villanelli, Gwen continues to be a full-time resident of Earth-616. Like her fellow Spiders before her, she's in her 'brand new' era: a new costume, a new place to live, and she's even looking to start up a new rock band. Those plans of hers get thrown into disarray when she's got new threats to tangle with, at least one of which Phillips teased 'might be her own fault.' Previous Spider-Gwen runs explored how she made the most of her new lease on life, either in 616 or her home dimension of Earth-65, and the same's true with this All-New series. Philips said the book's core theme is about 'possibility. […] She's finally in a place where she can build something new—new allies, new purpose, and maybe even a new sense of self.' Of course, with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse possibly hitting theaters in June 2027, it also doesn't hurt to have Gwen headlining a new comic and maybe being a key part of whatever the next major Spider-book crossover is whenever that hits in the next few years. All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost Spider begins on August 20 following the end of the current Spider-Gwen: The Ghost Spider run wrapping with Issue 15 on July 2. [via Collider]
