Bus driver arrested after crash with pedestrian on Lincoln Road
A bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a crash involving a young pedestrian. Emergency services were called to a section of Lincoln Road/Werrington Parkway in Peterborough at about 08:20 BST. A teenage boy was taken to Addenbrooke's hospital, Cambridge, with life-threatening Police said it was called to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian and officers remained at the scene on the A15. An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said an ambulance and a response car from the Magpas Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. Car ‘falls from Luton Airport multi-storey car park'
A man sustained serious injuries after a car fell from an airport multi-storey car park, police have said. The incident occurred at London Luton Airport at 11am on Sunday. Emergency services remain at the scene of the crash. An airport spokesman said it was a 'single vehicle incident at multi-storey Car Park 1', adding: 'One person has been taken to hospital for further assessment. Airport staff are managing the exit of departing vehicles. 'Arriving vehicles are being redirected to the airport's mid-stay car park until further notice. There is no disruption to wider airport operations.' Bedfordshire Police said the man's injuries were 'thought to be serious'. An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: 'We were called just before 11am with reports of an incident at a multi-storey car park at London Luton Airport. 'An ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle, a rapid response vehicle, the Hazardous Area Response Team and the Beds and Herts Critical Care Scheme were sent to the scene. A man was transported to hospital for further care.' Two years ago a fire engulfed the third floor of the airport's Terminal Car Park 2. Up to 1,500 cars were affected as flames ripped through the newly built facility in October 2023.

A14 reopens after 15 hour closure
The A14 has reopened 15 hours after a serious crash. A van and an HGV were involved in a collision on the major route at around 4.15am, according to National Highways. Both directions of the A14 were closed between junction 47A for Elmswell and junction 49 for Tot Hill. The westbound carriageway reopened shortly after 5am but the eastbound carriageway remained closed until 7pm to allow for police investigation work and for highways operatives to clear a spillage on the road. This incident is now clear, and the #A14 eastbound in #Suffolk is now OPEN between J47A #Elmswell & J49 #TotHill. There are no significant delays in the area.
