1 pedestrian dead, another in critical condition after collision with vehicle
A serious collision in east Ottawa on Tuesday has left one pedestrian dead and another in hospital in critical condition, police and paramedics say.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) reported the incident on X shortly after 2 p.m.
A vehicle struck the two pedestrians, both adults, somewhere on or near Innes Road between Tenth Line Road and Portebello Drive.
One of the pedestrians died of their injuries at the scene while the other was taken to hospital and is in critical condition, according to the OPS.
Three people from the vehicle were taken to hospital for assessment, the paramedic service added.
