A firefighter was sent to the hospital after being injured on the job.
In the latest wildfire bulletin, the province said the individual was injured on Sunday 'during the course of their firefighting duties' and was taken to hospital with severe injuries.
'This underscores the danger of the situation,' the province said, while thanking emergency responders for the brave work.
It would not provide further information on the firefighter, where the incident happened, or the injuries they received.
There are currently 18 active wildfires burning in Manitoba. The latest bulletin said there are also 'emerging' fires in Easterville/Chemawawin, Wanless and Flin Flon.
'These fires are being assessed and monitored. More details will be provided tomorrow.'
To date, there has been a total of 96 wildfires in Manitoba this year.
