Man arrested after Searcy teen shot in neck during Mother's Day weekend
SEARCY, Ark. – Police in Searcy arrested a man after they say 17-year-old boy was shot in the neck during Mother's Day weekend.
According to the Searcy Police Department, officers responded to what they believed to be a single-car crash around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Before arriving at the scene, officers said dispatchers were informed that a teen had been shot in the neck.
Little Rock police investigating deadly Sunday night shooting
Officiers said the victim was taken to a hospital and is stable.
Investigators said they found spent shell casings in the yard near the incident in the 1000 block of West Academy.
Yell County Sheriff's Department investigating deadly Sunday morning shooting
Officers arrested 44-year-old Edgar Gameros, who is being held in the White County Detention Center on charges of terroristic act.
Authorities said two other men were arrested on unrelated charges.
