Prince George's County man arrested on child pornography charges
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. () — A Prince George's County man is facing several charges related to the production, possession, and viewing of child pornography, police said Friday.
Maryland State Police (MSP) arrested Edwin Antonio Valdez Olivar, 41, of Beltsville, on Thursday following an investigation from MSP's Computer Crimes Unit, a task force focusing on using the internet to identify those involved in child pornography.
Through the investigation, which began in December 2024, troopers discovered that Olivar was receiving photos and images depicting child pornography on his cell phone, according to MSP.
