On Wednesday in Rabat, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, received his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, who delivered a written message to King from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement from Moroccan diplomacy. Badr Abdelatty underscored Egypt's commitment to strengthening relations with Morocco across various sectors. He expressed Egypt's desire to reinvigorate bilateral ties by organizing the Joint High Committee in Cairo and holding a session of the Coordination and Consultation Mechanism between the foreign ministers of both countries, as stated by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Egyptian minister also praised the success of the Egypt-Morocco Business Forum, held on May 4 in Cairo, which brought together 148 companies, including 74 Egyptian and 31 Moroccan firms. He announced that the Joint Trade Committee is scheduled to meet in October in Cairo. The two ministers also discussed several regional issues, notably the situation in Gaza. In this context, Badr Abdelatty commended the King of Morocco's presidency of the Al-Quds Committee and the committee's efforts in support of the Palestinian cause, according to the same source. For context, Nasser Bourita had met with his Egyptian counterpart on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab summit on Palestine, held on March 4 in Cairo. Badr Abdelatty also paid a working visit to Mauritania on May 26 and 27.

CAIRO, May 29 (MENA) – Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty held a high-level meeting in Rabat with a group of prominent Moroccan business leaders and heads of major banks. The meeting was attended by Member of the Egyptian Parliament and Head of the African Affairs Committee Sherif al-Gabaly, Egypt's ambassador to Morocco and the head of the Egyptian commercial representation office in Rabat. During the talks, Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's recent economic performance and outlined the government's efforts to enhance the investment climate, foster public-private partnerships and attract foreign investment. He emphasized ongoing structural reforms as well as simplified customs and trade procedures and various tax incentives. Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Morocco, asserting the vast opportunities available to establish strong and promising partnerships between the two nations. He presented Egypt's comprehensive vision for advancing economic, commercial and industrial ties with Morocco, underlining the importance of integration for mutual benefit. He referred to the ongoing coordination between the two countries' trade ministers and the success of the Egypt-Morocco Business Forum held in Cairo on May 4, which was attended by 148 companies from both sides. He expressed hope that the existing trade agreements will open new markets for Egyptian and Moroccan products, especially across African markets, and pave the way for joint ventures and shared economic projects. He stressed the importance of regular economic forums and business exchanges to deepen bilateral integration. (MENA)
