President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday approved the launch of the Egypt Stands with You initiative, designed to benefit underage children of martyrs and victims from the Armed Forces, Police, and civilians.

The initiative invests allocated funds to generate long-term returns for eligible children when they reach legal adulthood.
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and Misr Life Insurance Company will implement the plan.
El-Sisi directed the Ministry of Higher Education to set exemption and reduction rates for scholarships at public, private, and national universities and private higher institutes.
These will apply to beneficiaries of the Martyrs and Victims Honoring Fund, and the ministry will be responsible for defining implementation mechanisms.
He gave the directives during a meeting with Major General Al-Sayyed Al-Ghaly, Chairman of the Fund's Board of Directors.
According to presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, El-Sisi reviewed recent updates on the Fund's services for families of martyrs, victims, and those injured in war, terrorist attacks, and security operations.
He followed up on upcoming initiatives and urged continued efforts to improve services, expand resources, and strengthen management.
El-Sisi approved expanding the Fund's coverage to include Armed Forces personnel killed or injured in special operations and civilians who supported military efforts in previous conflicts.
'Egypt does not and will not forget the sacrifices of its loyal sons,' El-Sisi said, stressing the importance of honouring martyrs and the wounded.
El-Sisi established the Martyrs and Victims Honouring Fund in 2018 to provide financial and in-kind support to the families of those killed or injured in terrorism, war, and security operations.
