The Egyptian American Film Festival is set to return for its fifth edition from October 31 to November 4, 2025, with expanded programming and a heartfelt tribute to legendary Egyptian actor Adel Emam. Taking place in New York, New Jersey, and—for the first time—Tennessee, the festival will honor Emam's extraordinary career and enduring impact on Arab cinema. A dedicated segment, The Leader's Films, will feature a curated selection of Emam's most iconic movies, such as Toyour al-Zalam, Al-Erhabi, Al-Ghoul, Al-Mansi, Al-Erhab we Al-Kabab, Al-Ensan Ya'eesh Marra Waheda, and Al-Avocado. This retrospective ties into the 2025 festival theme, Cinema for Humanity, spotlighting cinema's power to inspire and reflect societal change. Launched in 2021, the festival was created to amplify Egyptian, Arab, and African voices in American cinema and promote cross-cultural dialogue. May 09, 2025 Adel Emam will be honoured at the fifth edition of the Egyptian American Film Festival, set to run from October 31st to November 4th, 2025. Held across New York, New Jersey, and, for the first time, Tennessee, this year's edition will celebrate Emam's remarkable legacy as a defining figure in Egyptian and Arab cinema. A special programme titled 'The Leader's Films' will showcase some of his most influential works, including 'Toyour al-Zalam', 'Al-Erhabi', 'Al-Ghoul', 'Al-Mansi', 'Al-Erhab we Al-Kabab', 'Al-Ensan Ya'eesh Marra Waheda', and 'Al-Avocado'.
