Go Behind the Scenes With Eiza Gonzalez For the Dior Cruise 2026 Show

There are a million ways to spend a Tuesday evening, but attending a beautiful runway show at a historic villa in Rome is probably one of the best. In the midst of promoting her new film Fountain of Youth, Eiza Gonzalez jet-setted to Italy to attend the Dior cruise 2026 show. From start to finish, the event felt magical. 'I [am] a little fairy lost in Rome,' the actress tells ELLE. The presentation was held at the Villa Albani Torlonia and honored the legacy (and extravagant balls) of the countess Mimì Pecci-Blunt as well as the famed Italian movie and theater costumer Umberto Tirelli. The result was a perfectly cinematic experience capped off by a heartfelt standing ovation during Maria Grazia Chiuri's finale walk. And Gonzalez's look, a draped white gown, couldn't have been more on-theme. The actress wanted the ensemble to feel as ethereal and dreamy as her environment, from the statue-filled hotel to the villa's haunting gardens at night. The sweeping dress evoked classic Roman architecture and was complemented by a pair of classic Dior slingback heels and a My Dior mini bag, both in a subtle champagne color. For glam, Gonzalez kept the look cohesive, embracing warm pink tones, glowing skin, and bouncing curls. The actress was also in attendance with her Fountain of Youth co-star and longtime Dior ambassador Natalie Portman, who stepped out in an almost feather-like white sheer dress and pristine white riding coat.

‘Fountain of Youth' Review: John Krasinski Goes Continent Hopping

The pop-music adage 'Don't bore us, get to the chorus' is often attributed to the Motown founder Berry Gordy. The sentiment, when applied to film, could generally sum up the approach of the director Guy Ritchie. In his new movie, 'Fountain of Youth,' Ritchie opens with a furious chase through the alleys, into the video arcades and over the fruit stalls of Bangkok. On a motorcycle is Luke Purdue (John Krasinski), who's just purloined a priceless work of art — it's what he does — and in a vehicle with lots of automatic weapons are some very irate and skeevy-looking journeyman villains. Having evaded his pursuers and boarded a train out of Bangkok, Luke figures he can relax, but no. He is confronted by the lovely Esme (Eiza González, now appearing in her second Ritchie picture), who informs Luke, 'I recover rare and unique paintings. Sometimes in leather tubes.' Luke laughs her off; he's hardly going to let her have the goods. Then she warns him: 'I am the hand of mercy. My employers are the hand of judgment.' What's any of this got to do with the title fountain? It's mildly complicated, involving a message that can only be deciphered by looking at the backs of a particular group of priceless artworks. Luke is compelled to seek the help of his disapproving sister Charlotte (Natalie Portman), a museum curator; the pair are convinced by a dying billionaire named Owen Carver (Domhnall Gleeson) that the fountain can be found, and that they should find it for him. And off they all go, continent hopping. Once they reach their destination, we learn that the fountain not only de-ages you, it makes you look like computer-generated art. So that's something. The movie acknowledges its many antecedents; it's mentioned that Luke and Charlotte are 'the children of the famed archaeologist Harrison Perdue,' get it? Besides the hint of Indiana Jones, several scenes also bring to mind the 'National Treasure' movies, because they're set in worlds with great libraries and museums and peopled with characters who, under any other circumstances, would never in a million years set foot in them. Having made his career playing perhaps the ultimate beta male on the television series 'The Office,' Krasinski has since ardently pursued alpha roles, playing the reluctant C.I.A. man of action Jack Ryan on the Amazon series of the same name. Still, his ready smile tends to make him instantaneously agreeable, a quality you don't get from other Ritchie leading men such as Henry Cavill and Jason Statham. Here, the quality doesn't provide much credibility or added value. Instead, it makes you more sympathetic to Charlotte, who's almost always scowling at her goofball brother. Stanley Tucci turns up in a Vatican-set cameo, which makes you wonder if he just roosted in the Holy City after completing 'Conclave.'

Why Eiza González was ‘so embarrassed' around Fountain of Youth co-star Natalie Portman

IN LONDON They're fierce rivals on screen in the blockbuster new adventure film, The Fountain of Youth. But behind the scenes, Eiza González was in the presence of her ultimate hero: Natalie Portman. In fact, Portman – who launched her Hollywood career all the way back in 1994, at just 12 – was the reason González, 35, first decided she wanted to be in showbiz, making it truly a full-circle moment when both actresses signed up for Guy Ritchie's latest big-budget movie. And even though González has plenty of entries on her own CV now, she admitted to that she was reduced to a nervous wreck when actually confronted with her idol. 'I feel so embarrassed every time I'm around her, I feel so nervous,' González said, adding: 'I don't know if it happens to you when you meet someone you've looked up to … But I say such stupid things around her.' Despite her awkwardness, González described Portman as a 'dream'. 'She's kind, she's loving, incredibly talented, and just really warm with everyone … I'd be a tree in the background in a Natalie Portman [movie]. I'd do anything, absolutely anything.' The action-packed film sees two estranged siblings (Portman and John Krasinski) teaming up on an epic quest to seek out the legendary Fountain of Youth, in a bid to gain immortality. Domnhall Gleeson and Stanley Tucci round out the cast, along with González. The production was an adventure in itself for the cast and crew, with filming locations across Egypt, Italy, Austria and Thailand. But it was working in Cairo, among the pyramids, that felt like a 'once in a lifetime' experience for González and Gleeson. 'I couldn't believe it – it's such sacred ground,' González shared, adding that they'd been told filming was usually 'not allowed'. 'It makes such a difference when it's a real backdrop, versus a green screen. We were so lucky to be able to have real sets, so we were pinching ourselves.' Gleeson agreed: 'Filming in the middle of [the pyramids], being surrounded by them – I couldn't believe it. And still [can't].' Fountain of Youth premieres Friday, 23 May on Apple TV+.
