On this day, one major festival will be observed – Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi. The Ekadanta form of Lord Ganesha is worshipped on this day. One of the Ashtavinayaka manifestations of Ganesha is thought to be Lord Ekadanta. The literal translation of Ekadanta Ganesha is 'Ganesha with one tooth." Before beginning any significant morning activity, it is advisable to verify the Tithi and take into account both favourable and unfavourable dates. TITHI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR MAY 16 The Chaturthi Tithi will go until 5:13 PM on May 17, after which the Panchami Tithi will commence.
