Congressmen Don Davis and Greg Murphy tour Kinston factory during ‘Week Across the East'
KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Congressmen Don Davis and Greg Murphy came together to take a tour of the Electrolux Manufacturing Facility on Monday. The congressmen were getting a firsthand look at how trade laws and tariffs are impacting local companies.
During the tour, the congressmen also talked about the opportunities for young employees, and how communities like Kinston are working to offer competitive positions in this economy. 'It's important more than ever, especially here in Eastern North Carolina, to find common ground on our economy,' Congressmen Davis said. 'We have to work together to bring real opportunities here.'
Neither Congressmen were able to speak to the media today due to tight schedules. Congressman Davis will finish his 'Week Across the East' tour Monday with a stop in Goldsboro. For more information, click on the video above.
