N.S. RCMP investigating possible negligence after 81-year-old reported missing

Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating an incident of possible negligence after an 81-year-old man was reported missing in Elmsdale.
East Hants District RCMP responded to the report around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.
'Officers learned the man was last seen at 3:30 p.m. when he was picked up outside a residence by a public transit service,' reads a news release from the RCMP.
Police say the man was located just before 11 p.m. in a public transit service vehicle.
The man was alone in the vehicle and was found in medical distress, according to police.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
'Investigators have spoken with a number of individuals, seized items and collected significant information in support of the ongoing investigation,' reads the release.
The investigation is ongoing.
