Mobile house fire leaves family with nothing, but everyone escapes safely
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile woman received a shocking phone call from her children on Memorial Day. Bay Minette police search for 'armed' suspect after deadly shooting at house party A house fire on Serigny Drive on Monday, May 26, left nothing salvageable for one Mobile family, according to homeowner Emily Gilmore. Gilmore said her family has lived in the home for about a year. Her children were inside when the fire started, and she was not. LOCATION: 'They told me, 'Mama, the house is on fire.' But by the time I got here, everyone was out,' Gilmore told . 'But my kids are OK, so I'm OK,' Gilmore said. Mobile Fire-Rescue crews responded around noon to the fire. Mobile police officers were also on the scene. Escambia County crash sandwiches SUV between two ambulances Gilmore said she does not know how the fire started. No injuries were reported.
