Jablon Studios hosts Easter egg hunt
VESTAL, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A local artist is making use of her new studio space by hosting an all-inclusive Easter egg hunt.
Public artist and Owner of Jablon Studios Emily Jablon hosted an Easter egg hunt Monday morning at her new art studio, located inside of Vestal Center Park.
Children and families from across the community were invited to come hunt for eggs, meet the Easter bunny, and check out the new space. The eggs contained candy, money, and in true Jablon Studios fashion, gems, diamonds, and bling.
Jablon says as a public artist, she's always looking for new ways to incorporate the community into her art.
'It's a fun way to celebrate the Easter season, but it's also a good way to get people to check out my new studio, see what we do here, invite more local organizations to see what we do and what we offer and just have fun with the public in an artsy kind of way,' said Jablon.
Jablon says this was the first of many events she plans to host in the park.
Jablon specializes in glass mosaic art, including public murals and smaller pieces like ornaments.
Jablon Studios offers art classes for all skill levels. Open studio hours are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. Parties and group events are also offered.
