A Border collie named Freya has become a social-media sensation after her hilarious reaction to being called by her owner went viral.
In a TikTok video shared in Monday under the username @emilynoellew, Freya's owner, Emily Noelle, calls out her name during a gathering in their yard, just to check what she is up to, but she is caught by surprise by the pup's unusual reaction.
As soon as she hears her name, Freya, who is lounging on a leather chair, turns away from the camera, lifts her head up, saying something very quietly, as if telling her owner that she is there, but making it clear she doesn't want to engage.
"My dog sat on this chair and it spun around so she wasn't facing us so I called her name and this was her reaction," the poster writes in the clip. "I have watched this video 53 times and I still laugh just as hard, like why did she do that," she adds in the caption.

Dogs know their names, and some even their nicknames, and they also recognize an average of 150 to 200 words, with some recorded cases of canines learning over a thousand. But do they understand our conversations?
Pet MD says that dogs can differentiate between words they know and those they don't know, however, when the words are similar, they aren't really able to tell them apart. For example, you can say "sid" instead of "sit," and it will still work.
But, beside their limited verbal communication skills, dogs are able to read our body language, and listen to our tone as we speak to them, which helps them understand what we are saying to them.
