Iowa Eminent Domain Bill passes: Countdown starts for Reynold's signature
DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is speaking out about the Eminent Domain Bill that passed in the state legislature.
The legislation would add requirements relating to that process, including a CO2 pipeline company to hold information meetings where property rights will be affected 30 days before filing a petition for a new pipeline.

The governor said she's started meeting with stakeholders on both sides of the issue this week. That's expected to continue into next week; Reynolds adds her team is doing research on the measure.
The governor has until June 14 to either veto the measure or sign the bill into law.
