Russell County crash kills Alabama teen
RUSSELL COUNTY, Ala. ( — A Russell County crash has left a Huntsville, Ala., teen dead.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says an early-morning two-vehicle crash on U.S. 431 near mile marker 90 claimed the life of 19-year-old Emma Howard.
Howard was pronounced dead at the scene, after being struck in her Jeep Wrangler by the rear end of a tractor-trailer driven by 23-year-old Trenton Parry of Gillsville, Georgia.
The southbound lanes of U.S. 431 were closed until just after noon Sunday. Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are investigating the incident.
