Sana'a explores local council role in safeguarding endowment Property
Sana'a - Saba: A meeting held in Sana'a province on Tuesday focused on establishing mechanisms to enhance the role of district local councils in preserving endowment lands and properties within the governorate's various districts. The meeting, which brought together officials from the Endowments Committee and directors of endowments across several districts including New Sana'a, Sanhan, Bani Bahloul, and Bilad al-Rus, addressed challenges hindering endowment work. Key obstacles identified included an incomplete inventory of endowment lands and a lack of cooperation from some influential employees with district endowment officials. Participants emphasized the shared responsibility of local council leaders and relevant authorities in safeguarding endowment lands and properties. They stressed the importance of coordination between district directors, security, and judicial authorities at the district level to protect these assets, contribute to inventorying endowment funds, and monitor their financial dues. Attendees underscored the necessity of referring those encroaching on endowment properties to judicial authorities in accordance with Sharia Endowment Law. They also highlighted the need to identify and document all endowment lands at the district level, including those that have been disposed of, to facilitate tenant tracking and the timely collection of endowment dues, particularly during harvest seasons. The meeting concluded with praise for the efforts of the local authority leadership, the Endowment Authority, and relevant bodies in the governorate for their work in overcoming challenges and enabling the endowment office to effectively carry out its duties. Al-Hodeida's first deputy governor reviews Al-Hodeida Endowment Authority's office activities
Hodeida - Saba: Al-Hodeida's first deputy governor, Ahmed Al-Bishri, reviewed on Tuesday the work progress in the office of the General Authority for Endowments in the province, and the level of efforts made in organizing activities and works related to the holy month of Ramadan. During the visit, the Undersecretary listened to an explanation from Abdullah Shayem, Director of the Authority's office, about the workflow and ongoing activities, foremost of which is the "Clean My House" campaign, which aims to clean mosques in preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan. He pointed out the importance of the campaign, which comes within the framework of preparing for the Holy Month of Ramadan, as a step that reflects the spirit of responsibility towards mosques, which are beacons of guidance , centers for uniting ranks and promoting faith values. The deputy governor called on official and popular authorities to support this initiative and ensure its success, to ensure the realization of its goals to prepare mosques to receive worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan. For his part, Shayem, director of the Endowment Authority's office in the province, explained that the "Clean My House" campaign comes as part of efforts to achieve the objectives of the endowment and direct the endowment to what it was intended for, especially in the service and care of God's houses.
