Busy road set to close for four weeks
A four-week road closure has been announced on a busy road in Otterbourne. Boyatt Lane, between its junctions with Otterbourne Hill and Chapel Lane, will be closed from May 19 to allow high-voltage overlay works to take place. The closure will remain in place for 24 hours a day throughout the four-week period, with work taking place between 8am and 5pm. The order allows for the works to be carried out at any time during the six-month period, but the works are expected to be completed within four weeks. The closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to allow Enerveo to carry out the works. An alternative route will be in place via Otterbourne Hill, Winchester Road, A335, B3335, Pitmore Road and Boyatt Lane. Enerveo has said it will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and will give notice to those directly affected. Change streetlights to improve health, Dorset Council told
