Ben Affleck Shares the 'High Praise' He Recently Got from 13-Year-Old Son Samuel — and Admits It 'Doesn't Come Easy'
Ben Affleck may have amassed many fans, but he's finally getting recognition from one special person.
While speaking with E! News at The Accountant 2 premiere on Wednesday, April 16, the Gone Girl actor, 52, shared that he recently received some "high praise" from his son Samuel, 13, who the actor said is "shocked" his dad knows people that "he thinks are cool."
'My son loves everybody, but he's shocked that I somehow know people he thinks are cool,' Affleck told the outlet. 'He's like, 'Why do these people want to hang out with my dad?' Which may be a valuable question, but I'm getting away with it.'
Ahead of the premiere, Samuel watched The Accountant for the first time to get ready for the sequel.
'He watched it and was like, 'Dad, I think it might be my favorite movie of yours,' ' Affleck shared. 'That was high praise, which doesn't come easy from your kids.'

Affleck later shared with Entertainment Tonightthat he had not only been joined by his kids for The Accountant 2 premiere, but his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez's children, too.
'It's a great night. The kids are here, Jen's kids are here. I'm very, very excited,' Affleck told the outlet. 'I'm proud of the movie, I love the movie and I love when all the kids come out. It's really fun, it's exciting.'
The actor shares Samuel, Seraphina, 16, and Violet, 19, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez, 55, is mom to twins Max and Emme, 17, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

The He's Just Not That Into You actor and Samuel recently had a father-son outing at a sneaker convention. As soon as the two sneakerheads entered the convention space, Affleck's son stopped to eye a pair of $6,000 Dior Air Force 1s. Once the Gone Girl star saw the price of the sneakers, his reaction was priceless.
"That's a lot of lawns you gotta mow there," Affleck joked, adding that his 13-year-old son only liked the shoes because they were expensive. Samuel quickly objected, saying, "No, they're tough! I always said they look good."
