Heavy rain expected overnight in parts of western Quebec
Heavy downpours are expected across a large area of western Quebec starting Wednesday night.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for a swath of the region stretching from Maniwaki and Témiscaming. Between 40 and 60 millimetres of rain is expected overnight and into Thursday evening.
"Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads," the warning reads.
Environment Canada issues rainfall warnings when significant rainfall is expected.
