A new viral social media challenge where students tamper with school laptops is threatening the safety of people in schools around the country. Students are said to be tampering with the charging ports of their devices in hopes of starting a fire. New ladder fire truck rolls out for Erie Fire Dept.

A new fire apparatus is now in service and is taking emergency calls for the community. The new tower two was put in service at 3 p.m. Thursday. It replaces its predecessor which was purchased by the Erie Fire Department in 2003.
