Aussie celeb couple's ‘heartbreaking' baby update

Australian actress and model Erin McNaught and her partner, music producer Stace Cadet, have today revealed they've been dealt a challenging hand since the birth of their son Obi in October last year. McNaught, 43, and Stace – real name Stasi Kotaras – announced that following a 'rapid decline' in their young son's 'behaviour and happiness' in recent weeks, doctors have informed them that nine-month-old Obi has a 'large brain tumour' on the right side of his brain. The crushing diagnosis came after the couple noticed their son was having problems eating, sleeping 'and most recently, keeping his head straight.' They wrote that a neurosurgeon delivered the 'heartbreaking' diagnosis on Tuesday evening, and shared a photo of their young son's brain scan. 'We are absolutely shattered and the last few days have been our hardest days. Our team at the Queensland Children's Hospital have been incredible and we remain hopeful that we can remove the mass and get Obi healthy and happy, pending the results,' they wrote. 'We have a long and difficult road ahead us but are so lucky to have our family and friends' support at this time and we're keeping focused on getting our little boy back.' Fans and celeb friends have flooded the couple's post with messages of support – among them, McNaught's ex-husband and father to her two older children, British rapper Example. 'You got this,' Example wrote under the post. 'Big love team. Obi will be a fighter like his parents,' said tennis player Dylan Alcott. 'Oh no — this is heartbreaking. Sending so much hope & strength,' wrote Dani Reilly, former Bloc contestant who last year lost her first child with husband Dan at just 10 days old.
