Ernakulam Jn. – Velankanni special trains from May 14
The Southern Railway will operate the following special trains from Ernakulam to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season.
Ernakulam Junction – Velankanni Express Special (Train No. 06061) will leave Ernakulam Junction at 11.50 p.m. on May 14, 21, 28, and June 4 (all Wednesdays), and reach Velankanni at 3.15 a.m. the following day.
In the return direction, Velankanni – Ernakulam Junction Express Special (Train No. 06062) will leave Velankanni at 6.40 p.m. on May 15, 22, 29, and June 5 (all Thursdays), and reach Ernakulam Junction at 11.55 a.m. the following day.
The coach composition will include one AC two-tier coach, three AC three-tier coaches, eight sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, and two second class coaches (Divyangjan-friendly). Advance reservation for the special trains will open at 8 a.m. on May 9, according to a release.
