4 B'deshi nat'ls convicted for their illegal stay
Mumbai: Four Bangladeshi nationals, including two women, were convicted by the Esplanade Court in Mumbai for unlawfully entering India via the West Bengal border and residing in Mumbai for more than 10 years.
The court imposed imprisonment and a Rs 500 fine on each, ordering their deportation upon completing their sentences.
Kurar police arrested Mohammed Shaikh (49) on Jan 9, in Malad following a tip-off. Shaikh migrated to Mira Road almost a decade after staying in Agra and started the scrap business," said a Kurar police.
The second case involved Suman Sardar (32) and two others who had arrived in Malad 10 years ago.
