The nomination, a first for Hahn, came as a surprise to all, including Hahn herself. When asked how she planned to celebrate the nomination, the actress told Deadline, 'We were going to pick out our Christmas tree tonight. I don't know. I mean, life just goes on, and I've got kids, so I'm hoping I have a glass of champagne tonight.'

But perhaps his most prominent role has been as assistant district attorney Jeffrey Brandau on the early 2000s show Crossing Jordan, which also starred his wife, Kathryn Hahn.
He was also co-executive producer for multiple episodes of Fox's New Girl and the CBS show Man with a Plan.
