Temu and PlentyONE partner to streamline global expansion for sellers

Chinese online marketplace Temu has reached a collaborative agreement with PlentyONE, e-commerce enterprise resource planning solutions provider, to help sellers expand smoothly into global markets. The partnership leverages Temu's approach to simplifying supply chain processes and PlentyONE's experience in digital systems integration. With the implementation of PlentyONE's marketplace infrastructure, Temu's vendors can now improve their efficiency across operational facets such as inventory management and order fulfilment, while exploring new avenues for global market expansion. Cendors within the PlentyONE network are gaining access to Temu's strategies in marketing and logistics. They stand to gain from cost advantages due to more efficient supply chains and are poised to broaden their international reach with Temu's backing. PlentyONE partnership vice-president Adam Lucas stated: "PlentyONE is excited to collaborate with Temu, empowering our sellers to access one of the world's fastest-growing marketplaces - an innovative platform that is reshaping e-commerce." PlentyONE has a workforce of more than 300 and a user base of 55,000, connecting brands, manufacturers and retailers to global marketplaces. A Temu spokesperson stated: "We are pleased to partner with PlentyONE to enable sellers to optimise their e-commerce operations and expand their global footprint. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering merchants with the resources they need to achieve long-term success." Temu, which launched in September 2022, has reached more than 90 markets around the globe, offering an extensive range of products at competitive prices. From early 2024, the company has begun inviting local sellers from countries including the US and several European nations to join its platform. This initiative supports local enterprises and aligns with the company's expectation that a significant portion of its European sales will derive from this local-to-local model. Temu envisions these Europe-based sellers eventually leveraging the platform for worldwide sales. Temu recently joined forces with Eurofins Consumer Product Testing and Eurofins Assurance to bolster its commitment to product integrity. "Temu and PlentyONE partner to streamline global expansion for sellers" was originally created and published by Retail Insight Network, a GlobalData owned brand. Temu boosts product safety and compliance with Eurofins partnership

Global e-commerce marketplace Temu has joined forces with Eurofins Consumer Product Testing and Eurofins Assurance to bolster its commitment to product integrity. Eurofins Consumer Product Testing and Eurofins Assurance provide testing, inspection and certification services. The partnership augments the transparency of Temu's product safety protocols, elevates standards of quality control and certifies that offerings on the platform adhere to stringent safety and compliance benchmarks. The collaboration with Eurofins Consumer Product Testing and Eurofins Assurance underscores Temu's proactive approach in reinforcing its quality assurance framework and aiding customers in making well-informed choices. Eurofins Assurance will perform independent inspections across a variety of merchandise including textiles, clothing, toys, jewellery, patio furnishings and electronic goods. These evaluations are intended to verify that products listed on Temu are in alignment with applicable safety and quality norms before their distribution to buyers. They will execute product certification tests such as those required for children's toys, adult apparel, outdoor furniture (GPSR EU EN581-1 physical safety testing), electromagnetic compatibility and restriction of hazardous substances test reports. In parallel, Eurofins Consumer Product Testing will contribute to refining Temu's vendor integration process by executing essential product certification examinations. A Temu spokesperson stated: 'At Temu, we are dedicated to providing a secure and reliable shopping experience. 'Strengthening our product safety measures is a key priority, and by working with Eurofins Consumer Product Testing and Eurofins Assurance, we are reinforcing our commitment to ensuring that products on our platform meet high safety and compliance standards.' In April 2025, US President Donald Trump enacted an executive order that eliminates the duty-free status previously extended to low-value packages originating from China and Hong Kong, arguing that this policy has unfairly benefited Chinese online retailers such as Temu and Shein by enabling them to undercut competitors with more aggressive pricing strategies. Launched in 2022, Temu now operates across more than 90 markets globally.
