Watertown man facing multiple drug charges after traffic stop
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 28-year-old Watertown man is facing multiple drug charges after a Sunday night traffic stop.
The Watertown Police stopped a vehicle at 9 p.m. Sunday, February 2 on West Main Street in Watertown.
A subsequent investigation found that Evan Douglas-Damian Hoppel, who was the driver of the vehicle, was found to be in possession of 156 grams of a crystalline substance that was later identified as methamphetamine, Lorazepam pills not a the original container and a digital scale.
Hoppel was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic offenses.
He was held pending arraignment.
