Man arrested for injuring a victim in hatchet attack in DeFuniak Springs
WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Officers responded to a call on Tuesday evening of a physical disturbance where a male victim had been injured.
According to officials, upon arrival the officers found the victim suffering from a deep cut on the back of his neck. The victim and witnesses present at the scene reported that he had been struck with a hatchet.
The suspect, 47-year-old Evan Stockdale had departed before officers arrived, officials wrote.
Panama City Beach woman charged with lewd & lascivious conduct
The Holmes County Sheriff's Office located the suspect, and after interviews, he was arrested.
Stockdale is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Weapon.
DeFuniak Springs Police Department thanked the Holmes County Sheriff's Office and Walton County Sheriff's Office in a Facebook post for their assistance in this case.
