Controversial NFL star Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson reveals he used to be a stripper in stunning confession

Controversial former NFL star Chad Johnson has claimed he used to work as a stripper to raise extra cash during his time at college. Johnson, who goes by the nickname 'Ochocinco', spent his first three years as a student at Santa Monica College in California before heading to Oregon State. And during an appearance on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, the ex-Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver made a bombshell revelation about his days in Santa Monica. 'I used to f***ing strip back in 97/98,' he told the former defensive end and co-host Beau Allen. 'I didn't have any money, so I thought what was the best way to make money back then as a college student during my off time? You f***ing strip.' Johnson, 47, claims he worked three hours each night at the club in question and would take home $2,500 after three shifts as a stripper. The six-time Pro Bowler also revealed he performed under the stage name 'Twix' to leave Long and Allen in stitches. 'I was like 150/160 [pounds] right,' he added. 'I had a little strength on me, so I was cut up, but I had veins everywhere. You know how you open a Twix and it's f***ing veiny? So my stage name was Twix.' 'I'm disgusted,' Long joked. Johnson has faced difficulties off the field over the years, including when he was arrested in 2012 on domestic violence charges after allegations made by his then-wife, Evelyn Lozada, before they divorced soon after. The Bengals hero served a week in jail in 2013 when, at the hearing where he pleaded no contest to claims he headbutted Lozado, he slapped his male attorney's buttocks. Back in February, alongside a broken heart emoji, Johnson revealed he had been dumped by his therapist when he wrote on X: 'Good morning, my therapist just terminated our remaining sessions & sent my deposit because I haven't improved & I'm still using derogatory language uncontrollably at times.' He has previously said that he doesn't drink because his later mother had struggles with alcohol. 'Growing up, my mom was an alcoholic and she would drink, extremely heavily,' he said last year. 'Seeing her become someone I didn't even recognize when she was consumed with alcohol was probably a reason why I stayed away from it when I was younger.' Johnson is still heavily involved in the NFL through media work after his career came to an end in 2012. He was at the Super Bowl in New Orleans back in February, where he even posed questions to Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles stars on opening night.
