That Tesla Trump Shilled At The White House? Yeah, He's Selling It.
Less than a week ago, President Donald Trump presented Elon Musk with a gold-colored key as a token of his affection in an Oval Office ceremony. Now we've reached the 'division of assets' part of the divorce proceedings. A White House official told multiplemediaoutlets Friday that President Donald Trump plans to sell ― or in a distinctly non-Trump move, give away ― the Tesla he bought in March, back when his bromance with the Tesla CEO was in full bloom. According to NBC News, the red Model S is currently parked on a long driveway known as 'West Executive Avenue' that sits adjacent to the White House, next to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and communications adviser Margo Martin apparently took the car out for a joyride last week, documenting the moment on social media: 'The Tesla President Trump bought for staff to use as part of a demo on the south lawn to help Tesla is going to be either given away or sold off,' Fox News' Peter Doocy reported, adding that 'Elon Musk was wearing thin on President Trump for about a month.' That's a sharp change in tone from just two months ago, when Trump turned the White House into a Tesla dealership, buying a Model S for himself while reading notes from a Tesla sales pitch aloud for the media. 'I'm going to buy because, number one it's a great product, as good as it gets, and number two because this man has devoted his energy and his life to doing this,' Trump said at the time, referring to Musk as 'a great patriot.' Sitting in the driver's seat moments later, Trump looked at the dashboard and exclaimed, 'Everything's computer!' 6 Wildly Different Ways Fox News Hosts Struggled To Process Trump-Musk Blowup
Donald Trump and Elon Musk appear to be done. And on Thursday, personalities on conservative Fox News processed the online blowup between the president and his former 'first buddy' (as Musk once referred to himself) in various different ways. Will Cain appeared somber as he suggested it is 'hard to see a path forward for these two to repair their relationship' after Musk last week left his role leading Trump's so-called Department of Government Efficiency and then almost immediately slammed the president's proposed spending bill. 'This is not a story that anyone was looking for,' Cain added. 'Perhaps somewhat predictable with two big personalities, but not a story that we wanted today for America.' Sean Hannity, a vocal supporter of Trump who has campaigned onstage with the president, suggested the only real difference the duo had was over the bill. Hannity predicted they'd become friends again and expressed his hope that 'they work it out and set an example for the rest of the country.' Jesse Watters also downplayed the feud, saying: 'Sometimes guys fight. Guys sometimes will punch you in the face and the next night you're having a beer. Sleep with your girlfriend and you patch things up.' Trump and Musk 'are like roommates,' he added. 'They were living in close quarters for like the first six months of the year. They're just blowing off steam.' Laura Ingraham suggested Trump should 'simply disengage' from the feud. Musk 'is his own person' and his companies' government contracts 'shouldn't be called into question' as Trump has now done, she added. Greg Gutfeld said: 'I don't like it. I want it to stop. I want to tell them, if they are both watching: 'Knock it off. We're done with this.'' And Trump first-term White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany described it as 'a sad thing to see.' 'I don't want to see the adults fighting,' she said. 'But I do think this was predictable.' 1 Subtle Barb In Trump-Musk Blow-Out Has Dana Bash Saying 'Wow, Wow, Wow' German Leader Politely Shuts Down Trump's Hot Take On D-Day Ex-Trump Aide Spells Out How Elon Musk Could Gain Ultimate Revenge On The President

Social Media Gleefully Celebrates End Of Elon Musk-Donald Trump Bromance
The bizarre bromance between Elon Musk and Donald Trump is apparently over ― and the ramifications are being hilariously felt on social media. Musk helped Trump get elected and headed the president's so-called Department of Government Efficiency project until recently. But their working relationship took a hit this week after Musk repeatedly criticized the thin-skinned president's so-called Big Beautiful Bill. Trump even suggested the rupture could be permanent on Thursday. 'Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore,' he said. 'He hasn't said bad things about me personally, but I'm sure that'll be next. But I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped Elon a lot.' Meanwhile, Musk responded to an X user that 'without me, Trump would have lost the election,' and attacked Trump for his 'ingratitude.' The tiff between two emotionally immature billionaires inspired unprecedented social media snark ― including from the president himself. Trump took to his Truth Social platform to declare that 'the easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon's Governmental Subsidies and Contracts.' He added, 'I was always surprised that Biden didn't do it!' And, yes, people had thoughts. Lots and lots of thoughts. But some were skeptical Musk and Trump were really at odds. Legal analyst Elie Mystal pointed out that the whole feud could just be a bit stolen from TV wrestling. Meanwhile, influencer Ashley St. Clair, who says Musk is the father of her child, offered to give 'breakup advice' to the president. Seth Meyers Spots Surefire Sign Trump's White House Couldn't Stand Elon Musk
'Late Night' host Seth Meyers pointed to one thing as proof the Trump White House really can't stand Elon Musk. Referencing a new report, Meyers said Musk had asked the Trump administration for an extension on his role as a special government employee, which is limited to 130 days. But the White House 'told him it wasn't possible,' Meyers said. 'That's how you know they hate him,' he quipped. 'They actually followed a rule.' Meyers then mimicked President Donald Trump in mock protest: 'Our hands are tied, Elon. A rule's a rule. A rule's a rule.' The gag came as Musk, the world's richest person, continues to publicly slam Trump's 'big, beautiful' spending bill, and Trump remains silent on the criticism from his once-loyal ally and donor.
