Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.62%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a positive note on Friday. Shares of Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 4.62 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 2.4 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 2.34 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent) and TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.86 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty Auto index closed 0.62 per cent up at 23953.15. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 42.3 points at 25019.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 200.15 points at 82330.59. Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Airtel, IRFC and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Paras Defence, Stampede Cap(DVR), Mazagon Dock Ship, Kanpur Plastip and Wanbury Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Wendt India, Career Point, BDR Buildcon, IndInfravit Trust and Ginni Filaments hit their fresh 52-week lows.

Remove Ads NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a negative note on of Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the the other hand, Exide Industries Ltd.(down 4.05 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 3.47 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.79 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 2.78 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent) finished as the top losers of the Nifty Auto index closed 1.9 per cent down at NSE Nifty50 index ended down 140.61 points at 24273.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 411.97 points at the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Canara Bank, Welspun India and Niva Bupa Health Ins were among the most traded shares on the of Stampede Cap(DVR), Krishana Phoschem, Bharat Seats, Privi Speciality Chemicals and KPR Mill hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Godha Cabcon & Insul, Hilton Metal, AGS Transact Tech, Aki India and Gensol Engg hit their fresh 52-week lows.

Nifty Auto index advances 0.49% in an upbeat market

The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 11:21AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 2.0 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.6 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent) were among the top gainers. Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.49 per cent at 22417.35 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.05 points at 24406.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 433.95 points at 80676.19. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Eternal, Vishal Mega Mart, Indian Oil Corp. and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Force Motors, Reliance Naval & Engg, Bannari Amman, Privi Speciality Chemicals and Coromandel Int. hit their fresh 52-week highs in Friday's trade, while GI Engineering, AGS Transact Tech, Gensol Engg, ART Nirman and Dr. Agarwals Health hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
